Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.

MOVE|NYC| isn’t just an institution that supported me foundationally as a young artist, it’s a group of individuals who continue to encourage and push me even now as a professional. MOVE is a family. As an alumni, I’ve been given a multitude of opportunities: Peer Mentorship, creative development, and leadership training. In 2024, I was chosen as a creator for the SWEAT Lab Choreographic Incubator. SWEAT Lab taught me so much about what it means to be a choreographer. I was mentored throughout the process and encouraged to share my own artistic voice. Directly following the program, I received my first ever professional commission with Whim W’Him Seattle Contemporary Dance. Thanks to SWEAT Lab, I felt ready for that experience! My next choreographic commission is for MOVE|NYC|’s Young Professionals Program for their 10th Anniversary! I can’t wait to celebrate this milestone while giving back to the place that gave me so much.

Freelance Dancer & Choreographer

When I look back on my training as a MOVE|NYC| Young Professional, one word comes to mind: TRANSFORMATIVE! This incredible program pushed me to dig deeper and go beyond my perceived capacity. The road wasn’t always an easy one, but it was exactly what I needed to grow as an artist and opened tangible doors for my future success. If time reversed, I would do it all over again, and again, and again.
