Charrie Burke was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She began her formal training at Brooklyn High School of the Arts. Charrie has also trained with The Ailey School Junior Division and MOVE|NYC| Young Professionals Program where she received the inaugural LAJAMARTIN Outstanding Achievement Award. She has done additional training with B12 Research or Die, Ballet Hispanico Summer Intensive, VimVigor Summer Intensive, RUBBERBAND Summer Intensive, A.I.M Summer Intensive and many more. Charrie has performed works by Earl Mosley, Dwana Smallwood, Laja Field, Micaela G. Taylor, Dava Huesca, Martha Graham, Roderick George, Nattie+Hollis, and Doug Varone. Charrie is a recent graduate of SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance as an Adopt-A-Dancer scholarship recipient where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts under the direction of Darrah Carr. She has also received the President’s Award for Achievement in Conservatory of Dance 2024. Charrie is currently a New York City based freelance artist.
