2024 DC SUMMER INTENSIVE

MOVE|NYC|'s 2nd Annual DC Summer Intensive is a high caliber and rigorous training program geared towards exceptionally talented and motivated teenagers, ages 13 - 18, from across the DC Metro Area. This 2-week TUITION-FREE intensive identifies talent at every stage of technical development, from beginner to advanced, and provides access to world class dance education, mentorship, and empowerment. Our goal is to take part in the development, cultivation, and education of the next generation of leading artists in the field of dance. In order to do this successfully, we feel it is an absolute necessity to eliminate any potential roadblocks deserving students may face on the path towards realizing their full potential. At MOVE|NYC|, we strongly believe that one factor alone should determine access to high-quality training and professional development: TALENT.

This Exciting 2-Week Intensive consists of:

Professional Development Seminars (with Founders Nigel Campbell and Chanel DaSilva) 

Creation Process with Choreographers (with Andile Ndlovu Washington Ballet & Jeroboam Bozeman Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater)

Daily Technique Classes (in Ballet, Contemporary, Improvisation, Jazz & Repertory)

Guest Panel Discussions (with Acclaimed Artists in the Field)

Summer Finale Showcase Performances
