ALAINA TARY

A native of Baltimore, Alaina is a dancer, aerialist, choreographer, and dance educator. She is a graduate of the Baltimore School for the Arts and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance from The Juilliard School. Additionally, she has received training from Point Park University, Maryland Youth Ballet, Maryland Council for Dance, Ballet Theatre of Maryland, POET theatricals, and the Harid Conservatory. Professionally she has performed with the Bowen-McCauley Dance Company, Celebrity Cruises, Feld Entertainment, Passion Productions LLC, and Madison Square Garden Entertainment in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in addition to guest performances with Howard County Ballet. Alaina is a certified ballet teacher through the American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Curriculum, having successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Intensive for Pre-Primary through level 3. She has taught dance throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C. working with dancers of all ages and levels. Mrs. Tary has spent the last seven years on faculty at The St. Paul’s Schools in Brooklandville, Maryland where she works with students in grades 5 through 12. As an avid weightlifter, she is a proponent of functional cross training for dancers to support and promote a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
