Waverly Fredericks (he/him) is a New York-born multidisciplinary artist whose work spans dance, choreography, direction, and fashion. Raised in Washington Heights, he earned his BFA in Dance from The Juilliard School under the direction of Alicia Graf Mack and Mario Alberto Zambrano. His early training began at Dance Theatre of Harlem, followed by studies at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, The Ailey School, and MOVE|NYC|.
Waverly first gained national recognition as a Top 8 Finalist on Season 17 of So You Think You Can Dance. He has performed works by celebrated choreographers including Ohad Naharin, Spenser Theberge, Jermaine Spivey, Andrea Miller, Sidra Bell, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, and Sonya Tayeh, among others.
As a creator, Waverly’s choreographic works have been presented through Choreographers & Composers, Choreographic Honors, and MOVE|NYC|. He is now expanding his voice through self-directed dance films and editorial storytelling centered on movement, identity, and contemporary culture.
Alongside his performance career, Waverly has established himself in the fashion industry, working with globally recognized brands and publications including Vogue Italia, Vanity Fair, Numéro Netherlands, MUGLER, Jordan, and currently serving as the face of Abercrombie & Fitch Fragrance. With gratitude at the center of his journey, Waverly continues to build art rooted in intention, discipline, and authenticity.
