Sophia Wolbrom

Director

Sophia Wolbrom is a lifelong lover of all forms of live entertainment and fine arts. She has been fortunate enough to work in the arts for most of her professional life, from patron service positions to arts administration. Currently, Sophia runs Know Smoke Productions, Events & Consulting, specializing in solo-shows and alternative performances and events.

After growing up in Northern Westchester, where she spent her weekends in and out of the city attending shows, she moved to Washington, D.C., for school, where she studied Journalism & Mass Communication at The George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs. Upon graduation, Sophia moved to Edinburgh, Scotland, where she has now attended and worked numerous Edinburgh Fringe Festivals. Sophia has also lived in Toronto, Canada where she continued her studies and worked at the Young Center for the Performing Arts until the pandemic prompted her return to New York.

Sophia is also a singer and storyteller, which gives her the perspective to understand artistic endeavors both on stage and off. Her debut solo-show Can’t Find My Way Home, had its debut at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2025, followed by a New York City run at the Soho Playhouse. Sophia enjoys collaborating with creative professionals and approaches every role with the mindset of: “How do we go from concept to product, and how can I help?”
