Jeroboam Bozeman

Jeroboam Bozeman is a multifaceted performer, choreographer, and actor whose career spans more than two decades across concert dance, film, television, and theater. Known for his emotional clarity, technical precision, and commanding stage presence, Bozeman has built an expansive and influential body of work across some of the world’s most respected stages.

He began his professional career with the Philadelphia Dance Company (PHILADANCO), followed by engagements with Donald Byrd’s Spectrum Dance Theater and Ailey II. Bozeman went on to join the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, where he remained for 11 years, emerging as a defining presence within the company. In 2018, he was nominated as one of Dance Magazine’s Top 25 to Watch, and The New York Times noted that he was having a breakout season, praising his signature “velvety fluidness” and magnetic stage presence.

In addition to performing, Bozeman is an accomplished choreographer. He was commissioned to create Loosen Up, a work that premiered nationally and highlighted his evolving choreographic voice. In 2018, he also guested with The Royal Ballet as part of Wayne McGregor’s anniversary performance, further expanding his international profile.

In 2024, Bozeman transitioned into acting, where he has continued to thrive. He stars in Once Again, directed by Boaz Yakin—the acclaimed filmmaker behind Remember the Titans and Fresh. The film has gained international recognition, receiving awards at both the Tallinn Film Festival and in the Barcelona Film Festival. Bozeman also appears in season three of HBO’s The Gilded Age and was a special performer in Rob Marshall’s The Little Mermaid. He continues to build a dynamic presence in stage plays and theater productions.
