Eliana Balzano is a young artist whose works strive to answer questions that cannot be explained with words. Currently 19 years old, Eliana was born and raised in New York City, where she began her training in the arts at the Professional Performing Arts School. There, she studied Musical Theatre while attending classes in Broadway Dance Center’s Children and Teens Program. She had the pleasure of becoming a MOVE|NYC| Young Professional at the ripening age of 13 under the direction of Nigel Campbell and Chanel DaSilva. During this time, she began her studies at LaGuardia Arts High School and the French Academie of Ballet. Her additional training includes Movement Invention Project 2 and The Orlando Ballet School. Eliana had the honor of being named a 2022 National YoungArts winner in choreography. She has gone on to present her works in many festivals, including the UDance Festival in Birmingham, England, the BAMKids festival in Brooklyn, NY, and Little Island Dance Festival in New York City. Eliana is currently a rising sophomore at The Boston Conservatory, where she will continue her studies to receive a BFA in Contemporary Dance with an emphasis on composition. Eliana is looking eagerly toward the future and cannot wait to make her mark in the dance world and beyond.
